The Opera House
123 W Grand River, Howell
(517) 540-0065

Journey back in time at The Opera House, a three-story historic building in downtown Howell that was built in 1881. It was the area's most prominent entertainment venue until 1924, when the typical Opera House entertainment began to fade and it was shut down. Today guests are welcome to visit or rent the renovated first floor for a variety of public activities and private events. Take a tour of the un-touched second floor theater and imagine what The Opera House was like in its heyday. Your contribution will help the Livingston Arts Council restore the building to its original grandeur. Office hours: Mon-Fri 9am-3pm.
